Get To Know Our Founder Patrick Renner

As the Owner, Director, and Principal Physiotherapist of Archer St Physiotherapy Centre, Patrick is committed to providing the community with quality care and health services that goes above and beyond what other physiotherapists provide.

Patrick graduated from Curtin University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy. In his many years of experience as a Physiotherapist, Patrick has worked in a large variety of clinical and sports settings, enabling him to gain extensive experience in many different types of musculoskeletal complaints and injuries, as well as numerous effective treatment techniques.

Patrick worked with WAFL East Perth Football Club for five years and as Head Sports Trainer gained experience in both medical and sports injury management. He has volunteered his skills and time for numerous sporting clubs and events, including the Western Australian Roller Derby League, The National Basketball Championships, Victoria Park Soccer Club and Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club. He was appointed Team Physiotherapist for the National Australian Women’s Masters Hockey Team at the 2020 and 2024 World Cups, and has been the Team Physiotherapist for the WA Women’s Masters Hockey Team at the National Championships since 2019.

Throughout his career, Patrick continuously strives to increase his knowledge and skills and has completed further studies in Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, TMJ Jaw Pain Management, Realtime Ultrasound Imaging, Shoulder Assessment & Treatment, Kinesio Taping, Lower Limb Biomechanics and Running Analysis, Orthotics, and Business Management. In addition to guest lecturing for Challenger TAFE therapy students in Sports First Aid, he has also produced and delivered weekend seminars for the Australian Association of Massage Therapists in Sports and Vocational Injury Management. Patrick has developed professional relationships with several top orthopaedic surgeons in Perth, who typically refer him to patients for post-surgical rehabilitation, particularly shoulder, hip and knee surgery, including replacements. Patrick has a keen interest in treating TMJ and Jaw pain and dysfunction, and is trained in using Realtime Ultrasound Imaging to assess pelvic floor muscle strength, incontinence and function.

As the Owner, Director, and Principal Physiotherapist of Archer St Physiotherapy Centre, Patrick is committed to providing the community with quality care that goes above and beyond what other physiotherapists provide. Being a keen SCUBA diver, swimmer and weightlifter, Patrick understands the importance of remaining as active as possible and enjoys improving clients’ mobility, function and longevity through rehabilitation, education and a friendly approach.

Outside of work, Patrick loves good coffee, great red wine and being at the beach with his partner and their dog Bella.
